In Reception, work is linked around themes as it is with the rest of the school. Topics could come from many places: children’s interests, story books, the time of year, a school visit or visitor, or an opportunity that presents itself through the year.
We have a big focus on Phonics and Reading within Reception. We follow the Read Write Inc Programme and more details are available in our Reading section.
