As a green flag Eco School, we strongly believe in the importance of teaching our children about environmental issues and integrate these topics into our curriculum as much as possible. We have an ‘eco garden’ with polytunnel, planters, and an outdoor classroom which classes can use to support their curriculum work, as well as solar panels and a ‘secret’ wildlife garden!
We love Forest Schools!! We have a woodland attached to our school and use it as much as possible! Each class has a half term block of ‘Forest Schools’ lessons each year linked to their wider curriculum work. Children take part in a wide range of activities, such as fire building and den building, as well as developing teamwork and environmental awareness.
