Attendance 2020-21
Attendance Policy, Information and Guidance
We aim to have whole school attendance above 97%.
We appreciate there may be times when absence is unavoidable eg sickness, but would request that appointments such as doctors/dentists be arranged outside of school time whenever possible.
Unauthorised absences or holidays may result in a fine being applied by Durham County Council.
The Department for Education has confirmed that, from September 2015, the threshold for persistent absence will be 10% – ie attendance below 90% will be reported as persistent absence.
